Richard Hotchkiss, receives the Shock Society's Scientific Achievement Award

Richard Hotchkiss, MD, Professor of Anesthesiology, Medicine, Surgery, Molecular Biology and Pharmacology received the Shock Society’s Scientific Achievement Award for 2012. The award is given annually to a member of the Shock Society whose work has contributed most to advancing the understanding of sepsis and shock in the critically ill. Hotchkiss was presented the award at the Shock Society’s Annual Meeting, on June 12, 2012.

The award started in 1997 and many distinguished investigators are previous recipients.
